This summer, Marina Bay Sands ArtScience Museum are expecting patrons from their most beloved Potter Manias (which means, a lot of you, Diasporas) to visit the traveling exhibition of well, what else, the Harry Potter Exhibition! No, it doesn’t travel with its broomsticks and Floo Network across continents with its wingardium leviosa to put it all together, but it has especially arrive at the Museum to give in a magical treat for all Potter manias in Singapore and neighboring countries!

With your own expecto patronums ready, get face to face with a replica of what a Dementor is like, fully in its darkest glory and the monument where Cedric Diggory was killed by He Who Must Not Be Named. If that’s bound to tie you up on the dark side of the Potter World, prepare your earplugs as Mandrakes might pop your ear drums out as you pull them out from the pot!

Most of your Muggle friends might have visited the exhibition and come out in a little sigh that the exhibition “isn’t as big as we thought it would be”. A mere $24 for a ticket would be your all-access entrance from the Great Hall to the Quidditch grounds and its own Hogsmeade, where I would suggest everyone to gather up every single gold you have – you’ll bound to make J.K. Rowling handsomely rich with all the Potter goodies – minus the Butterbeer I dreamt off drinking away. The Marauder’s Map, a personal favorite, is extravagantly priced at $60. It would be selling like hot cakes if we were, well, a Hogwarts student, since the Map has only one of its kinds.

I’d say, despite all the letdowns and negative responses amongst your peers, treat yourself to a little dash of magic as a lucky person gets sorted out with the Sorting Hat as you enter to your wished House, laugh at the Fat Lady’s portrait who’s trying to break that wine glass, and the very costumes of all Harry Potter movie casts; Hermione’s pink gown from Goblet of Fire will not let you down. Once you enter in the forbidden-photography-zone of the exhibition, let your mania run amok and be impressed. It’s not hard to ignite that fantasy we’ve always dreamt of to be part of the Potter World!

Harry Potter: The Exhibition, created by Global Experience Specialists, Inc. (GES) in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, will run from 2 June 2012 until 30 September 2012. Special thanks to Marina Bay Sands for the free pass!

P.S. I seriously digress and suggest you to bring all your gold. A Chocolate Frog with hologram card costs $7. Your photo set for 3 costs $50. The shop comes much earlier than you expect.
